Rootlet - Terms of Service

By downloading or using Rootlet ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. The app is provided by Wojciech Włodarczyk ("we", "us"); contact: voytecode@gmail.com.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Rootlet for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the usage rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

2. Intended Use

Rootlet is designed for children ages 1-4 under parental supervision. The app provides educational mini-games and activities. It is not intended as a substitute for parental interaction or professional educational guidance.

Rootlet offers an optional one-time purchase to permanently unlock all premium games. The exact price in your currency is always shown in the store before you buy. This purchase is:

4. Free Content

Rootlet includes 36 free games available without any purchase. Free users may also try up to 5 premium games per day at no cost. Once the daily limit is reached, the remaining premium games become available again the next day, or immediately with the one-time premium purchase. Rootlet shows no advertisements at any point.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in Rootlet, including but not limited to illustrations, animations, sounds, music, and game mechanics, is owned by us or used under license and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app.

Rootlet is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. Screen time should be managed by parents in accordance with pediatric guidelines.

Nothing in this section limits or excludes the statutory rights you have as a consumer, including rights relating to the conformity of digital content under applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms; if you do not agree, stop using the app.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. If you are a consumer, you additionally enjoy the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of the country where you habitually reside, and nothing in these terms deprives you of that protection.

Any dispute arising from or related to these terms or the use of the app shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by contacting us at voytecode@gmail.com. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you reside, and proceedings against you may only be brought there.
